I founded my consulting practice in the Fall of 2021 after spending three decades as an independent school professional, including serving as Headmaster at Salisbury School in Connecticut for 18 years, with the overarching goal of sharing my skills and vision about educational pathways with students and families in their journeys of self-discovery.
My advocacy is focused on empowering adolescent boys and girls to gain a better understanding of who they are and want to be, where they wish to go, and how to get there. This enables students and families to take control of the process and successfully navigate what is often a complex and sometimes intimidating process.
I focus passionately on instilling self-confidence, resilience, and vision in each student I mentor, and I am particularly adept at matching the strengths, interests, needs, and aspirations of applicants to the right boarding/day school or college opportunity, a process that is critical to a successful outcome for each student.
Finally, my consultancy is intentionally exclusive, as I much prefer to work with a limited number of clients each year, so that each student and family gets my unfettered attention and expertise. I believe each student’s experience is personal, and so my process is centered on identifying individual aspirations and needs that cultivate emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual development and achievement. As parents, our greatest desire is to raise happy, healthy, productive, and self-assured students who are exquisitely prepared to lead lives of meaning and purpose as adults.
