When it’s time to choose the right school or college for your child, this is my process:

Areas of Special Interest

Every student has a distinct learning style, and as parents, our responsibility is to find and enroll them in a school that celebrates and builds on their strengths and also recognizes and supports areas primed for further development.  Many children have learning style differences that require informed strategy to guide their success in the classroom.  As Headmaster at Salisbury, I helped develop The Rudd Learning Center into a world-class academic support program.  In addition, my wife and I have a child with dyslexia, so as an educator and parent, I have an informed perspective and knowledge as to educational opportunities that enable students to excel in a setting that supports their identified needs. I’m especially familiar with the following common challenges:

  • Executive functioning

  • Dyslexia

  • Language-based learning differences

  • Processing speed

  • Working memory

  • Gaps in mathematics and/or other academic areas

For many prospective secondary school and college students, athletic opportunities are a critically important part of their admissions process.  In the era of sport specialization, students are committing themselves to a particular sport earlier in their schooling with the intention of competing at the highest levels in secondary school and college.  For student-athletes, it is vital to know how the complex and often daunting athletic recruiting process works.

  • 30+ years of coaching and advising student-athletes;

  • Steward hundreds of students through the athletic recruiting process;

  • Maintain regular contact with secondary school and college coaches;

  • Assist in finding the best program for your child’s development and fulfillment;

  • Provide guidance on preparing resumes;

  • Facilitate communication with coaches and more.

American secondary schools and universities attract families from all over the world, making campus culture rich in diversity. In my work, I have travel oversees regularly and have advised families from Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe, South Africa, and Central America. International families make a special commitment to their children’s education, and C3 honors that pledge by securing a path to the best match of boarding school or university. I have served clients from the following cities:
